Essex re-endorses previous permission for clay extraction

In April 2010 members resolved to grant planning permission subject to a legal agreement and conditions for a scheme for the continuation of clay extraction (1.154 million tonnes or 577,000m3) over 15 years in three main phases from west to east over an area of 11.1 ha and the continuation of sand and gravel extraction (60,000 tonnes) over three years.
