Are we wasting a golden renewable opportunity?

Despite efforts to reduce waste in the UK, we still send millions of tonnes of it to landfill each year. Yet many of these waste streams contain a high proportion of renewable materials which cannot be recycled or reused, such as leftover food, discarded wood and even used nappies.
